Garden Ideas

Jul 25, 2025

I’m sprouting garden veggies from seed. It’s super fiddly and I noticed similar needs when bringing an idea to life.

*Discipline: New seeds need daily attention. I monitor light, temperature and moisture. It’s a lot to do. Once outside- mother nature takes over some of my responsibilities. My current work “project” (building a new website) is time intensive. And, it won’t be forever :)

*Pacing: Some seeds grow too fast, get “leggy” and don’t create strong roots. That also happens when a project isn’t grounded. It doesn’t serve me to abandon my life, cats, friends, students, clients, etc. It’s best if I go slow and steady…

*Sustenance: If seeds are too wet they’ll mold. Too dry- they’ll die. Some want watered in a specific way (root fed vs misted) They need lots of light- and also dark to establish their circadian rhythm. The temperature must be conducive to sprouting- some even need heat pads. Am I that high-maintenance? Yes. Especially when busy. To sustain all the moving parts I up my self-care- that helps keep me balanced.

*Patience: Some seeds take longer to sprout (ten or more days) and some show signs of growth in three days. Do I want that? Fast growth and immediate validation? No. I want sustainability. I can dedicate five hours a week to this project- and what doesn’t get done can wait.

*Trust: Some seeds won’t sprout. Maybe they’re old & damaged, the dirt’s PH was off... or maybe I did muff something. Is that okay? Yes. There’s always a work-around. Soon there will be “starts” for sale. Aren’t mistakes beneficial? Yes. They show me what’s not working and where I need help. That’s good information to have. I trust the process is for my best and highest good.

*Asking for help and outsourcing: I have beings from the elemental realm, and crystals, helping my little seedlings. I have a great tech team and business coach. I call upon those that know more than me when things are outside my level of expertise.

So consider if you have any projects at the “seedling” stage...  and what you might do to help them, and yourself, grow at the best pace for you.
